CGM is privileged to have had keynote speakers from the Prime Minster's Office and the Central Bank of Malaysia at its Malaysia Showcase at Climate Week New York in September 2020, together with an esteemed panel of NGOs and Corporates. The Malaysia Showcase featured forest conservation and sustainable water management initiatives by SEARRP, TRCRC and WWF-Malaysia, and also featured a conversation with Sime Darby, Lendlease and Sunway about their SDG strategies and achievements. More than 3,000 participants attended this event, 80% of which were international participants. A key objective of the Malaysia Showcase was to counteract a lot of the negative press in the international media about deforestation and palm oil, and raise awareness of some great initiatives that are in play by selected NGOs and Corporates, with a view to engage our audience to support their efforts, and to learn from the best practices shared.
