CLIMATE GOVERNANCE MALAYSIA
GLOBAL CLIMATE GOVERNANCE SUMMIT 2026
Governing the Climate Transition: From Commitment to Decision
A two-day global programme bringing together leading voices across government, business, finance, law and sustainability to examine the decisions, systems and institutions shaping the climate transition.

Programme Overview
The CGM Global Climate Governance Summit 2026 moves beyond the case for climate action to examine what happens when commitments have to become decisions, investments and obligations. Across two days, the programme brings together perspectives from policymakers, regulators, investors, business leaders, legal experts and sustainability practitioners.
Themes
Day 1: Capital, Statecraft and the Cost of Delay
The first day explores who pays for the transition, who shapes its direction, and what boards can access. Discussions examine the changing landscape of transition finance, energy security, carbon markets and Global South leadership, alongside the growing connection between climate, economic and strategic priorities.
Day 2: Rules, Nature and the Adaptation Imperative
The second day focuses on the frameworks and evidence shaping climate action. Sessions examine climate litigation, corporate accountability, data transparency, adaptation, public capital, transition plans, accounting and pathways towards a just transition.
