Climate Governance Malaysia is pleased to share the global launch of the Chapter Zero Alliance, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of the Climate Governance Initiative into a stronger, unified global network dedicated to advancing board-level climate and nature governance.

Launched at Davos, the Guiding Principles for Climate and Nature Governance developed by the Chapter Zero Alliance in collaboration with the World Economic Forum provides boards worldwide with a practical and strategic framework to embed climate and nature considerations into decision-making. The Principles are designed to help boards strengthen organisational resilience, safeguard long-term competitiveness, build investor confidence, and navigate an increasingly complex risk landscape.

As climate and nature-related risks intensify and expectations on directors continue to rise, these Guiding Principles equip boards to move beyond risk management and compliance—enabling them to turn disruption into opportunity and support the transition towards a climate-resilient, nature-positive economy.

Through a global network of locally led Chapters, including Climate Governance Malaysia, the Chapter Zero Alliance enables directors to translate these Principles into meaningful action. This network plays a critical role in accelerating best practices, fostering peer learning, and strengthening climate governance at the board level across jurisdictions.
