The incoming Brazilian Presidency of COP30 has released its second letter to the international community, calling for urgent and collective climate action. With 2024 confirmed as the warmest year on record and CO₂ levels at an 800,000-year high, the letter moves from vision to action.
At the heart of this call is the launch of the Global Mutirão—a worldwide, self-organized mobilization encouraging concrete, grassroots climate solutions. Everyone, from governments to communities and individuals, is invited to contribute through real, ongoing initiatives.
To support this, four Circles of Leadership have been created to integrate indigenous wisdom, ethical leadership, finance expertise, and past COP experience into future action. The letter also highlights the need for systems thinking and governance innovation to meet the complexity of the climate crisis.
This powerful message frames COP30 as a potential turning point—one where collective action, not just negotiation, reshapes our relationship with the planet.
