Private sector engagement with key stakeholders
After an inspiring welcome address by Tengku Taufik, Chairman of the CEO Action Network and a keynote address “Perspectives on a net-zero pathway” by Dave Sivaprasad of the Boston Consulting Group, we then heard from our esteemed panel with Datuk Faiz Azmi, Chairman PWC, moderating the robust discussion.
Panellists were Alizan Mahadi, Institute for Strategic and International Studies; Dave Sivaprasad, Boston Consulting Group; Dr Gary Theseira, Malaysia Green Technology and Climate Change Center; and Lavanya Rama Iyer, WWF Malaysia.
The event ended with a thank you by Datin Sunita Rajakumar, Chairperson of Climate Governance Malaysia.
“There is an urgent need for an alignment of government policies between economic, climate and energy priorities against the backdrop of social economic well being of citizens. When government policies are explicit, clear and coherent, the private sector will be in a better position to drive actions to support a smooth transition for businesses and the public alike.“ Tengku Muhammad Taufik, Chairman of the CEO Action Network
