Kok Wai is the Regional Director of Sustainability at Boardroom Limited, focusing on innovative strategies in climate governance, decarbonization, and transparent sustainability reporting. With over 30 years of experience across diverse sectors, he combines deep expertise in sustainability with a strong legal and compliance background, having led NTT DATA Payment Services’ (formerly GHL Systems) compliance and sustainability functions.

At NTT DATA Payment Services, he launched the ESG framework, published its first Sustainability Report in 2021, and drove its inclusion in the Bursa Malaysia FTSE4Good Index and FTSE4Good Shariah Index. His leadership earned the company a Silver award for “Most Improved Performance Over 3 Years” at The Edge ESG Awards 2023.

A former practicing Advocate & Solicitor for 16 years, Kok Wai holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London and completed the University of Cambridge Prince of Wales Business & Sustainability Programme 2024.
