Prof. Dr. Jomo Kwame Sundaram is currently the Research Advisor at Khazanah Research Institute. He was the UN Assistant Secretary General for Economic Development in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and (Honorary) Research Coordinator for the G24 Intergovernmental Group on International Monetary Affairs and Development from 2005, and then Assistant Director General for Economic and Social Development, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Prof. Sundaram’s academic career spans several decades, with tenures at esteemed institutions such as the University of Malaya, Harvard University, and Cornell University. He has authored numerous publications on economic development, inequality, and globalization. At the Khazanah Research Institute, he continues to influence public policy through rigorous research and analysis, focusing on issues critical to Malaysia's economic future.
