Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan

Datuk Zaiton is Vice President of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) United Kingdom, former Deputy Chair of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Professional Accountants in Business Advisory Group, member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). She is Chairman of GX Bank Berhad, Malaysia’s first digital bank, board member of GXS Bank Pte Ltd (Singapore) and Board Risk Committee Chair of Sunway Berhad.

She started her career in PriceWaterhouse Coopers before moving into banking, including at Maybank, in various senior positions in Treasury, International Operations and Group Strategic Planning. She was also tasked with setting up the country’s second rating agency, Malaysian Rating Corporation Bhd where she was President for eight years. Datuk Zaiton led the initiative to set up Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC), a not for profit institution focussing on helping students from underprivileged families pursue professional accountancy qualifications.
