Resilience in a Hothouse World

3 - 7 August 2026 | Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur | Hybrid

Overview

Location

The fourth instalment of Climate Governance Malaysia’s flagship event returns in 2026 under the theme Resilience in a Hothouse World.

The NCGS 2026 theme, Resilience in a Hothouse World, underscores the urgent need for organisations to move beyond commitments towards robust transition and adaptation strategies grounded in governance and capital discipline. Over four days, the Summit will focus on climate strategy, capital allocation, and long-term resilience in an increasingly volatile climate landscape.

The previous NCGS attracted nearly 3,500 participants from over 30 countries, reflecting its growing regional and global reach. Over the years, NCGS has partnered closely with government ministries, regulators, industry bodies, and corporate leaders, establishing itself as a trusted platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue and practical implementation.

NCGS 2026 aims to continue translating global and regional climate priorities into boardroom action, strengthening alignment between investors, corporates, and policymakers to drive credible transition pathways across Asia.

Spanning four days from August 2026 either on the week of 10 August or on the week of 17 August , the summit features two days of plenary sessions followed by two dedicated days of workshops and masterclasses.

Potential Legacy for Malaysia

In a hothouse world, nations that build resilience early will lead economically, environmentally, and geopolitically. NCGS 2026 positions Malaysia to do exactly that, to champion a model of climate-resilient governance that inspires ASEAN and signals to the world that sustainable growth and bold climate action are not in conflict. They are inseparable.
