Dato’ Seri Johan Raslan is a senior Malaysian accountant and governance advocate. He has more than 40 years’ experience in both London and Kuala Lumpur. He holds a degree in Economics and Accountancy from the United Kingdom, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, as well as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Johan began his career in London before returning to Malaysia, where he rose to become Executive Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Malaysia from 2004 to 2012.
Johan currently serves as an independent non-executive director of Sime Darby Property Berhad and is chairman of YTL Digital Bank Berhad (known as ‘Ryt Bank’). He is also a board member of the Securities Commission’s Audit Oversight Board and the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM). Johan is an Eisenhower Fellow, a mentor for the 30% Club in Malaysia and a Council member of Climate Governance Malaysia.
