Location
The NCGS 2026 is Climate Governance Malaysia’s flagship annual convening platform, bringing together leaders across business, government, finance, academia, civil society, and youth to advance climate governance and accelerate meaningful climate action.
Now in its fourth year, NCGS continues to grow as one of Malaysia’s leading climate governance platforms — convening strategic conversations, practical solutions, and cross-sector collaboration.
Taking place from 3–7 August 2026 at Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur, this year’s theme: “ Resilience in a Hothouse World ” reflects the urgent need for organisations, institutions, and communities to move beyond commitments towards credible, governance-led adaptation and transition strategies in an increasingly volatile climate landscape.

By entering the pledge code "NCGS2026" during registration, participants begin their pledge journey — a voluntary commitment to turning summit learning into real-world climate action.
Participants who complete the pledge will receive an NCGS Impact Pledge Certificate, while those who choose not to complete it will not be subject to any payment obligation.

The first two days of NCGS 2026 are carefully curated to bring together powerful and influential voices from across business, finance, government, academia, civil society, and international organisations to discuss the most pressing climate governance challenges and opportunities of our time.
Through keynote addresses, panel discussions, and fireside chats, the plenary sessions aim to convene the wider community to learn, exchange perspectives, and strengthen collective understanding on issues relating to climate risks, resilience, transition strategies, governance, and accountability.
CGM Hornbill Awards 2026
Recognising Malaysia's most impactful conservation and nature-based solution projects.
As a flagship feature of NCGS 2026, the Hornbill Awards brings together NGOs, community organisations, and conservation leaders to showcase innovative solutions for biodiversity protection and climate resilience.
Eight finalists will present their projects live before an expert judging panel and receive dedicated exhibitor space during NCGS 2026.
NCGS 2026 Impact Pledge
From Conversation to Climate Action
The NCGS Impact Pledge is a leadership commitment designed to encourage climate action beyond the summit itself.
While participation and dialogue remain central to NCGS, participants are encouraged to translate ideas and insights into practical actions within their organisations, workplaces, communities, or personal lives.
Participants who commit to the pledge during registration using the designated code will be granted access to NCGS 2026 at no cost, in place of the standard RM1,000 registration fee.
The pledge is voluntary and honour-based. Participants who complete their pledge will receive an NCGS Impact Pledge Certificate in recognition of their commitment. Participants who choose not to complete the pledge will not be subject to any payment obligation.

Revisiting NCGS 2025
NCGS 2025 marked a significant milestone in the Summit’s growth and impact.
Held across five days at Sasana Kijang, the Summit brought together more than 3,000 participants from across Malaysia and the region, featuring over 90 speakers representing government, financial institutions, corporations, academia, civil society organisations, youth movements, and international bodies.
Participants included board members, C-suite executives, policymakers, regulators, investors, researchers, professionals, and students — reinforcing NCGS’ role as a multi-stakeholder platform for climate governance.
Beyond the numbers, NCGS 2025 demonstrated the growing urgency and momentum around climate resilience, transition planning, sustainable finance, governance, and accountability in Malaysia and the wider region.
