Overview
Recognising Malaysia's Most Impactful Conservation Projects
The CGM Hornbill Awards 2026 celebrated organisations and initiatives advancing nature-based solutions, biodiversity conservation and climate resilience across Malaysia.
Held as part of the National Climate Governance Summit (NCGS) 2026, the Awards brought together five finalists to showcase their work before an expert judging panel and an audience of leaders from business, finance, government, civil society and the wider climate community.
The Awards provided a platform to recognise impactful conservation efforts, spotlight innovative approaches and connect organisations working on the ground with a wider community of supporters and stakeholders.
🏆 All 5 finalists selected for the Hornbill Awards received a dedicated exhibitor space during Day 1 and 2 of NCGS 2026.
This opportunity allowed finalists to showcase their projects and initiatives to leaders and stakeholders from across business, government, finance and civil society, providing greater visibility for their work ahead of the award presentations.

Evaluation & Judging Process
The CGM Hornbill Awards 2026 followed a credible, transparent and rigorous evaluation process, jointly overseen by CGM.
Step 1
Project proposals were submitted via the designated submission form and reviewed against evaluation criteria developed by CGM.
Step 2
Shortlisted Interviews
Shortlisted organisations were invited to participate in online interviews as part of the evaluation process.
Step 3
Finalist Presentations
Five finalists were selected to present their projects live to an expert judging panel at Sasana Kijang.
Step 4
The winners were announced following the finalist presentations and judging process.
