Datuk Ruben started his career as a trainee in WMSB before leaving to set up a start-up incubator known as The Makmal Group. He then re-joined the Company and was later appointed as Chief Executive Officer in 2009, and he became the Group Managing Director of Westports Holdings Bhd in 2018.

Datuk Ruben is the Owner and Vice-Chairman of Queens Park Rangers Football Club, which participates in the English Football League (EFL). He is also a founder and Board Member of the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), a US Major League Soccer (MLS) member. He also serves as an Executive Council Member of the Football Association of Selangor. He also founded and co-owns the KL Dragons, which participates in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL). He sits on the Board of the ABL and is a member of the NBA Junior Asia Advisory Board. He is also on the Board of Bintang Capital Partners Berhad, Malaysian Productivity Corporation and Employees Provident Fund (EPF).

Outside his professional engagements, Datuk Ruben has involvement in other business and industry-related groups. He is the Deputy President of Kuala Lumpur Business Club Malaysia and a Member of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC). From a charitable perspective, he is the Chairman of the QPR Community Trust, on the Westports Foundation and CEO Action Network.


Global Head of Shipping, Citibank

Michael Parker joined Citibank N.A. in London in September 1977. Michael Parker was recently appointed Chairman of Citi’s Global Shipping, Logistics and Offshore business having been Global Industry Head since 1997 until now. During his 36 years involvement with shipping finance, Mr. Parker has been a regular conference chairman, speaker or panellist.  Under his leadership Citi has received recognised industry awards across the different areas of shipping finance and he was named Marine Money’s Dealmaker of the Year in 2012. In 2015, 2017 and 2019 he served on the Advisory Board of London International Shipping Week. In 2017 he was appointed to the Board of The Global Maritime Forum. Michael is the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Poseidon Principles launched in New York June 2019 and elected first Chairman of the Poseidon Principles Association in 2020.

Capt. Marc Nuytemans is currently CEO of the Blauwe Cluster / Blue

Cluster, a maritime innovation hub with over 200 member companies, trade associations & knowledge institutes. From January 2009 till November 2019 he was Managing Director of Exmar Shipmanagement N.V. and member of the executive committee of Exmar N.V., a Belgian listed ship owning company. He has been lecturing at the University of Antwerp in shipping and shipping management since 2000. After an extensive career at sea he became fleet personnel manager at CMB nv in 1997. In 2000 he took up the position of Managing Director of the Royal Belgian Shipowners’ Association leading the revival of the Belgian register.

Maersk has been in the business of container shipping for more than 40 years and is currently undergoing a transformation moving from a conglomerate to a focused and integrated global container logistics company. As Head of Strategy, Morten has been involved in this transformation since the onset in the summer of 2016. Morten has been with Maersk for seven years, and in his current role he is responsible for strategy development, strategic intelligence, M&A, as well as Maersk Management Consulting. He holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from The Technical University of Denmark, and joined Maersk from a position as Principal with The Boston Consulting Group.
