Dr. Bandar Hajjar assumed presidency of the Islamic Development Bank Group on October 1, 2016. The Islamic Development Bank, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is a multilateral development bank that works to improve the lives of people by promoting social and economic development in its 57 member countries and Muslim communities around the world. The Bank has received the highest credit rating (AAA) from the world’s rating agencies. 

In the same year, Dr. Bandar Hajjar assumed chairmanship of the Committee for Utilization of Hady and Adahi, which is a joint committee comprising the Islamic Development Bank and the relevant government agencies overseeing the work of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Project for Utilization of Hady & Adahi, which has been managed by IsDB on behalf of the government of Saudi Arabia since 1403 AH to serve the pilgrims and to facilitate the performance of their rituals

Dr. Bandar Hajjar is also the current chairperson of the MDBs Presidents Meetings for the year 2020. The MDBs Heads forum is a regional and international dialogue platform comprising the following twelve banks: the World Bank Group (WBG), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Asian Development Bank (AsDB), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IaDB), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), the New Development Bank (NDB), and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).

He has a 16+ year experience in Management Consulting to the Financial Services Industry (1988 - 2005), preceded by 15 years working for Banks in Operations and control (1973 - 1988). Returned to Banking between 2005 - 2008 in leadership positions in Islamic Banking in Malaysia. Established an Islamic Finance Consultancy (DVA Consulting Sdn Bhd) in November 2008. Appointed Global leader of Deloitte's Global Islamic Finance Group (GIFG) with effect 1 June 2009 until June 2011. Appointed CEO and President of INCEIF (International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance) August 2011 -July 2017. Currently retired but doing advisory work through DVA Consulting.

Sohail Zubairi currently serves as Senior Advisor with Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC) established in December 2013, to transform Dubai into the capital of Islamic economy. Based on his Islamic finance expertise, Zubairi is advising DIEDC on various projects including development of the Global Islamic Finance Code in collaboration with Islamic Development Bank, Sustainable Sukuk Standards in liaison with DIFC, DFM and CBI-UK, Islamic fintech mentoring with Fintech Hive-DIFC and several other DIEDC initiatives.

Oz is an Islamic finance professional with extensive experience in wholesale and retail banking and has worked across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

He has distinguished himself in innovating Islamic finance solutions across various jurisdictions and is credited with material contributions to the development of the Global Sukuk market.  He is also a distinguished thought leader in the social and environmental impact sectors within the Banking and Value-Based Intermediation (VBI) community - VBI is an initiative for Malaysian Islamic banks to refocus operations from bottom line to triple bottom line, incorporating social and environmental impact considerations along with economic return.

He is also the Chair of the Malaysian Financial Services JC3 (Joint Committee on Climate Change) Sub-Committee 4 on Engagement and Capacity Building.
