Datin Seri Sunita Rajakumar

Founder, Climate Governance Malaysia

Datin Seri Sunita Rajakumar is a professional independent director and a strong advocate of the importance of governance in general and risk management in particular. She founded Climate Governance Malaysia which is the country chapter of the World Economic Forum’s Climate Governance Initiative, is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia, promotes gender diversity on boards with the 30% Club, a member of the Global Advisory Board of Nottingham University's School of Business and the Advisory Panel of the UN Global Compact Malaysia’s Sustainability Center of Excellence, and is a workstream lead for the CEO Action Network, an industry led initiative to increase sustainability and climate resilience. She is Chair of Caring Pharmacy and independent director of Bursa-listed Dutch Lady Milk Industries, MCIS Insurance (a member of the Sanlam group) and Zurich General Insurance, as well as trustee of 5 charitable foundations.

Karina is an experienced Non-Executive Director and former financial markets executive with expertise in governance and sustainable development, and broad advisory and board experience. Karina also founded the Climate Governance Initiative in 2019.

Anouj Mehta 

Unit Head, Green and Innovative Finance and the ACGF, Southeast Asia Department, Asian Development Bank 

Daud is a Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) & FCPA (Aus). He has a 16+ year experience in Management Consulting to the Financial Services Industry (1988 - 2005), preceded by 15 years working for Banks in Operations and control (1973 - 1988). Returned to Banking between 2005 - 2008 in leadership positions in Islamic Banking in Malaysia. Established an Islamic Finance Consultancy (DVA Consulting Sdn Bhd) in November 2008. Appointed Global leader of Deloitte's Global Islamic Finance Group (GIFG) with effect 1 June 2009 until June 2011. Appointed CEO and President of INCEIF (International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance) August 2011 -July 2017. Currently retired but doing advisory work through DVA Consulting.

Sohail Zubairi currently serves as Senior Advisor with Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC) established in December 2013, to transform Dubai into the capital of Islamic economy. Based on his Islamic finance expertise, Zubairi is advising DIEDC on various projects including development of the Global Islamic Finance Code in collaboration with Islamic Development Bank, Sustainable Sukuk Standards in liaison with DIFC, DFM and CBI-UK, Islamic fintech mentoring with Fintech Hive-DIFC and several other DIEDC initiatives.

Dominic Scriven 

Dragon Capital, Vietnam

Oz is an Islamic finance professional with extensive experience in wholesale and retail banking and has worked across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

He has distinguished himself in innovating Islamic finance solutions across various jurisdictions and is credited with material contributions to the development of the Global Sukuk market.  He is also a distinguished thought leader in the social and environmental impact sectors within the Banking and Value-Based Intermediation (VBI) community - VBI is an initiative for Malaysian Islamic banks to refocus operations from bottom line to triple bottom line, incorporating social and environmental impact considerations along with economic return.

He is also the Chair of the Malaysian Financial Services JC3 (Joint Committee on Climate Change) Sub-Committee 4 on Engagement and Capacity Building.

Anthony  Chin

CEO, MARUHAN Japan Bank, Laos

Mr. Anthony CHIN is currently the Chief Executive Officer of MARUHAN Japan Bank with 23 years of extensive banking experience. He was previously with a major banking group in Malaysia, with expertise in many key areas such as strategy, digital, distribution, marketing, credit, operations, technology, collections, transformation and project & change management, amongst others. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. CHIN held numerous senior leadership roles such as Deputy Managing Director, Acting Head of Retail & SME Banking, Executive Vice President of Group Digital Experience, Innovation & Culture Transformation, and Chairman of Group Digital Security Council (cyber security) and experienced various work & project assignments across Asia Pacific. He has led his organization to win many notable & prestigious awards. Aside from being a Certified Credit Professional (Corporate) by the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers in 2001, he was also conferred a Chartered Banker (CB) status, jointly awarded in 2019 by the Chartered Banker Institute UK & Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers. Mr. Chin is Lean Six Sigma-trained and is currently a member of the Malaysian Business Council Laos and Laos National Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Credit) majoring in Finance & Marketing from the University of Technology Sydney in Australia and has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland.
